Men's Club
The Shadow Mountain Golf Club Men's Club, SMGCMC, holds competitive events Thursday and Saturday (except holidays). The President, other volunteer members, the Golf Committee and the Staff conduct these events. Thursday is Men's Day and women are allowed on the practice areas after the Men's shotgun has started. Women may play in the afternoon shotgun, provided holes are available, by making arrangements with the Starter. There is a fee for particpating in the Men's Club to provide for sweeps prizes and awards.

Participation in the Men's Club Thursday and Saturday games requires a sanctioned handicap. Such handicap is required in all Club sponsored events, without exception. New members not having an established sanctioned handicap, will play with a handicap established by the Head Golf Professional and Handicap Chairman.

Membership in the Men's Club is not required for eligibility to play in non-Men's Club event, such as the President's Cup, the Club Championship, and Horse Race events.

Sign-up sheets, with the sign-up deadline, will be posted for all Men's Club Thursday and Saturday games. The number of handicap flights will be determined by the number of participants.

Invited guests for Thursday and Saturday games must appear on the sign-up sheets and will be required to have proof of a sanctioned handicap to play in those games. A fee will be charged for the guests to participate in the game. Sweeps prizes won by guests will accrue to the host Member. The host Member is responsible for the guests' green and cart fees.

Any male member of the Club may play on Thursday morning, provided there are holes available not required by the Men's Club game of the day if holes are available, to be determined by the Staff.

Ladies Association
The Ladies Association schedules several annual tournaments and weekly play for the 18-hole group during the season. These events are held on Wednesdays. Annual dues are moderate and include the cost of computerized handicapping.

Any Lady Member may play on Wednesday morning, but may not compete for prizes awarded by the Ladies Club unless a fee is paid.

Mountain Niners
The Mountain Niners is our 9-hole Women's Club and was organized for all women who love the game but may no longer wish to compete in the 18-hole tournaments, as well as for women new to the game who want to have fun and learn by playing in the many fun tournaments, play days, and weekly games. Weekly play days are on Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m. There are monthly board and general meetings where all Mountain Niners are encouraged to attend, as well as non-Mountain Niners who want to learn more. We play by USGA rules and have a lot of fun along the way!

Shadow Shooters
The Shadow Shooters is a group of ladies who compete weekly in putting tournaments on Thursday afternoon.

Shotgun Starts
During the season, Shotgun starts are typically on Wednesdays and Thursdays. In addition, the Mixed Events is a Sunday afternoon Shotgun, following a morning shotgun.

Mixed Events
January through May, mixed events are planned by the Pro-Shop. These are generaly held once a month on a Sunday afternoon and have different competitive formats. These are normally followed by a no-host cocktail party and dinner. Nominal fees are collected from each couple to cover the cost of the prizes and the dinner

Twilight Golf
Near the end of April and through May, Twilight Golf, a couples event, is scheduled each Friday afternoon, usually at 5 PM. These are normally followed by a no-host cocktail party and dinner. Nominal fees are collected from each couple to cover the cost of the prizes and the dinner

Horse Races
Starting in December, there is a mens horse race scheduled every month concluding with a final race in April. These races are held Tuesday afternoon, with a post time of 1 PM.
